Every Sunday morning in La Lajita, Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura, formerly Oasis Park, hosts a market of crafts and island produce: more than eighty stalls, before the entrance to the zoo.
Day and times
- Sunday, 9:00 to 14:00: the Oasis Wildlife market in La Lajita.
Times can change on public holidays.
What you’ll find
More than eighty stalls of crafts, island produce and traditional pastries. It can be combined with a visit to the park, which has its own ticket.
Getting there
La Lajita is a small village on the east coast, in the municipality of Pájara, between Tarajalejo and Costa Calma. Oasis Wildlife is on the FV-2, beside the village.
Tiadhe buses along the FV-2 stop at La Lajita: routes and timetables on the Tiadhe website.
Before you go
- Bring cash: not every stall takes cards.
- Go before midday: the market closes in the early afternoon.
Other markets
On Sunday mornings in the north there is the craft market at El Campanario in Corralejo, and on Saturdays the Mercado Agrario de Fuerteventura in Puerto del Rosario, with island produce. Every market of the week is on Planaquí, along with the fiestas and the island’s other events.
All the island’s markets, day by day, are in the guide to Fuerteventura’s markets.
